Exotic and distant Vietnam has long been a habitual vacation destination for Russians. More and more tourists prefer it to the sore European routes and busy resorts of Egypt and Turkey. The most attractive for recreation are the central and southern regions of the country, where the season lasts all year round, and nature always pleases with its picturesque landscapes.

The north of the country and the provinces located in the mountains are less known to the mass traveler. It is there that people who prefer interesting and non-standard routes go and who want to get to know the culture and traditions of the Vietnamese. Perhaps, in the near future, these places will still experience an influx of tourists, but for now they retain the special charm of hidden corners.

Popular resorts of Vietnam for sea holidays

Nha Trang

The main resort in Central Vietnam with a rather comfortable (in contrast to the south of the country) climate and lower humidity. Its tourist area consists of several streets along the ocean, and a coastal area with beaches, then begins an ordinary Vietnamese town with the appropriate flavor: small houses, eateries, noisy markets. The most luxurious hotels are located right by the sea, city hotels with a more democratic price tag are located on 2-4 lines.

Phan Thiet

The resort area of South Vietnam, which has gained popularity in just a few years. The city itself is not very attractive to tourists due to the lack of significant attractions. However, the 40-kilometer coastline, starting beyond its borders, has enormous potential - it is actively being built up with large hotel complexes and beach hotels.

Mui Ne

A fishing village and popular resort northeast of Phan Thiet. The settlements are connected by a picturesque highway that stretches along the coast of the South China Sea. Kite and windsurf lovers love to visit Mui Ne. The tourist area of the village is a series of hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, immersed in bright tropical flowers and greenery. The resort is especially popular with Russians.

Dalat

It is located on a mountain plateau at an altitude of about 1,500 meters, so the climate here is completely different than on the hot coast. The city was built by the French in an attempt to escape from the sweltering tropical heat. Perhaps that is why it resembles the French Alps. The main thing that attracts tourists here is the magnificent nature, French colonial architecture and local spas. One of the main attractions is the Crazy House Hotel, which looks like the dwelling of a fairytale forest king.

Vung Tau

Although the city of Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City are separated by almost 100 kilometers, it is quite a popular resort among residents of the southern capital of Vietnam. Therefore, the beaches are even more crowded than the bathing areas on the Black Sea coast. You can go here all year round, but the most comfortable time is from May to November; in winter, quite strong winds blow in Vung Tau, although the water does not cool below +26 ° C.

Katba

A small island in Halong Bay (North Vietnam). There is a national park, several beaches, picturesque natural attractions and a well-equipped tourist area. From Catba it is convenient to go for a walk along the bay, which is used by many tourists. This resort is not a beach resort, rather, it is suitable for a quiet contemplation of nature, walks by sea and land, as well as observing the measured and unhurried life of the Vietnamese.

Hoi an

Chamchon

A small resort town in the Gulf of Thin, which became famous thanks to the French who built their luxurious villas here. Today this place is mainly visited by Vietnamese, as it has not yet gained international popularity. Chamchon has a 10 km long beach. As a rule, the water temperature here is not higher than +23 ° C in the warmest time, so the swimming season does not last all year round.

Phanrang

A small and calm town, which may even seem boring to many tourists. The fact is that its main and almost the only attraction is the Cham towers of the 9th-13th centuries, there is nothing more to see. But nevertheless, if you go for a beach vacation, then it is impossible to be disappointed. The resort is suitable for couples with children and travelers who are not delighted with noisy entertainment.

Long Hai

Long Hai is appreciated for its excellent beaches, suitable climate, clean water and thermal springs with therapeutic mud. There are amazing natural places in the vicinity of the city: the Can Zo island, the Dia Dao underground tunnels, the Minh Darm caves.

Kyalo

As a resort, Kyalo began to develop in the 1990s. Of course, first it was tested by local tourists and only then the first foreigners came here (but their number is still small). The main beach of Kyalo is covered with sparkling white sand, the water is clear and clean - this place is considered one of the best in Vietnam for sunbathing and water procedures.

Cam Ranh

It is better known as a former military base and the city where the airport is located, where tourists arrive for further travel to the resort towns. There are picturesque mountains and rice fields around Cam Ranh, and there is also a long sandy beach. The town is clearly deprived of the attention of travelers, of course - after all, the untwisted Nha Trang is only 50 km away. But the tourist infrastructure is gradually coming to these places.
