The tower is divided into three tiers. Elevators and stairs lead upstairs. On the First floor there is a restaurant "58". There are five lifts to the Second floor - 150 m - and two twin lifts go to the Topfloor - 276 m.

Tourists tend to visit the observation decks of the Eiffel Tower, which are located on the two upper tiers. You can get there on foot, by elevators or on foot to the Second floor, and then by elevator.

Where to buy a ticket for the Eiffel Tower

Purchase online... The easiest and cheapest way is the official website. You can buy a ticket to the Eiffel Tower with a credit card. At the entrance, it is enough to show a printout or a ticket on the smartphone screen.

Checkout... Not all tickets can be bought online. Tickets of two types are sold only in the Eiffel Tower:

  • stairs to the 2nd floor;
  • stairs to the Second floor + lift to the very top.

If you already have a ticket for the Eiffel Tower, you will queue up to enter the elevators. This place is indicated by signs with a green background. Ticket offices selling elevator tickets are yellow, and staircase ticket offices are blue.

Guide... Tourists receive guides to the Eiffel Tower at the box office and at the elevators. They have useful information in French, English, Spanish and German.

Wi-Fi... If you like to share photos on social networks, use the free _WiFi_Tour_Eiffel. In the form when connecting, enter your email address.

Observation platforms. On the Eiffel Tower, the view from the second floor is more spectacular than from the very top. There is a protective mesh with large cells that do not interfere with photo and video filming. We do not recommend the top floor: it is located high, so it is difficult to see small details on streets and buildings. For safety, the upper observation deck is fenced off with a plastic wall, which makes the images less clear.

How to save money and skip the line to the Eiffel Tower

The scourge of all the iconic monuments of Paris is the queues. In summer, a long line of tourists line up near the tower an hour before the ticket office opens, and the wait can take several hours. There are several ways to skip the line.

Entry with personalized online tickets... Some sites write about special tickets prioritythat give an advantage when entering. In fact, these are ordinary e-tickets that are sold on the tower's official website. Buy your ticket to the Eiffel Tower online and you won't have to queue at the ticket office. The queue will be different - to the elevators. To complete the security check, arrive 15-30 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket. During peak season, take tickets 60 days in advance.

Stairs... Climbing on foot is difficult, so there is no crowding on the stairs. You will have to wait no more than 10 minutes before entering.

Lunch time or evening... Most tourists tend to buy a ticket to the Eiffel Tower in the morning. If you come a few hours after the opening, there will be fewer people. The "golden hours" start after 18:00. In the evening, there are few people who want to admire the city from the viewing platforms. Come at the end of the day and you won't go wrong! Paris illuminated is an unforgettable sight!

Low season... Those who come in early spring, late autumn or winter are very lucky. In the off-season it is not difficult to buy a ticket and skip the line to the Eiffel Tower. Don't forget to keep warm for the tour! In the cold season, it is windy and chilly upstairs.

Restaurants... Combine a tour of the tower with a trip to a restaurant! Visitors to the First floor and Second floor establishments use separate elevators. Book a table and you will find yourself next to the cherished observation decks. Note that the restaurant on the Second floor is expensive.
