Despite the fact that the Novosibirsk region is almost continuous plains, there are also waterfalls. Of course, they cannot be compared with the splendor of natural waterfalls in Karelia and Altai, but they are also spectacular and unique in their own way. Most of them are the result of human activities. These natural attractions are concentrated in several districts - Iskitimsky, Toguchinsky, Maslyaninsky.
Unfortunately, there is very little information about the Novosibirsk waterfalls in the literature, so only local residents living nearby and a few tourists know about them. At the same time, there are several waterfalls, the fame of which goes far beyond the boundaries of the districts, and vacationers and travelers from all over the region flock to them. Karpysak
The most popular and refined waterfall in the Novosibirsk region. It is located in the Toguchinsky region, near the village of Karpysak. It is a dam of a pond on the Bugotak river. Therefore, it is not a classic waterfall, it has a height of about 5 meters. Residents of the region call the waterfall the local Niagara and have long chosen it as a place for recreation, swimming, fishing, and kayaking. A recreation center was built nearby.
Belovsky
Another one of the most visited waterfalls in the Novosibirsk region. It is located in the Iskitim district, 2 km from the village of Belovo, on the Vydrikha river. The origin is artificial, formed on the site of an abandoned coal mine. It belongs to the cascade type. The height of the water fall is about 5 meters. There are always a lot of tourists and fishermen here. The waterfall is surrounded by a birch forest with numerous glades, where it is convenient to set up tents.

Nikonovsky (Talitsa)
A fairly large waterfall with a powerful stream, especially beautiful in the spring. Located in the forest, it is of natural origin. Rocks form a ledge of about 10 meters, from which water falls noisily into a small lake. It is located on the territory of the Maslyaninsky district, in the vicinity of the village of Nikonovo. The waterfall is often called Talitsa, as is the river itself, on which it is located. Access to the waterfall is difficult, there are few visitors.
Suenginsky cascade
Located on the gold-bearing river Suenge, 2 km from the village of the same name in the Maslyaninsky district. The origin is artificial. Until the 70s of the last century, a hydroelectric power station operated on the river. The waterfall is a foamy cascade of several rapids with drains up to 1.5 meters each. The most beautiful part is in the area of the bridge. In winter, the streams of water do not freeze. The waterfall is popular with residents of the entire area. Water tourism competitions are held here.
Medvedsky (Glass)
Natural landmark of the Iskitim region. Located on the Shipunikha River, near the village of Medvedskoye. Belongs to the "Veil" type and is a very spectacular sight. It is no coincidence that the second name of the waterfall is Glass. Strong jets of water, falling from a 5-meter height, form a continuous transparent curtain through which the surrounding landscape is visible. There is a spring with drinking water nearby.
Buchilo
It is located on the territory of the Iskitimsky district, on the outskirts of the village of Legostaevo. It was formed by the waters of the Talushka River at the site of rock outcrops. It is of natural origin. Previously, a mini power plant operated here. The height of the waterfall is 5 meters, the width of the channel is within 1.5 meters. There is a small cave in the upper part. There are many fish in the river, including the Red Book grayling. There is a popular 1 km long eco-trail leading to the waterfall.
Buranovsky
Located on the territory of the Cherepanovsky district, 0.5 km from the village of Buranovo, from which it got its name. Belongs to the so-called "curtain" type. It is located on the Krivoy River, a tributary of the Borovlyanka. The height of the fall of the water is about 7 meters. Has a pronounced seasonality. Well known to the locals, but not one of the most visited places. Care should be taken - the descent to the waterfall is slippery.
Vassinsky
Located on the territory of Toguchinsky district, near the village of Vassino. It is formed by the waters of a small river Izyla, a tributary of the Ini River. Belongs to the group of cascading waterfalls. The origin is artificial. The height of the fall of water streams is about 3 meters. The waterfall is picturesque and quite full-flowing, but it is known mainly only to residents of nearby villages who like to relax and fish here.
Pryamskoy
A small, but quite full-flowing waterfall on the Pryamaya river. It is located in the Maslyaninsky district, in the vicinity of the Pryamsky village. The height of the falling water is within 6 meters. The waterfall is beautiful and flows into a picturesque lake. But it is located in an impassable place, in the middle of dense thickets and rocks, therefore it is not widely popular.
Karakan
It is located on the territory of the Ordynsky district, not far from the village of Nizhnyaya Kamenka. Formed by the Kamenka River. Belongs to the "Keyhole" type. The height of the falling water is within 3 meters. Attraction of the picturesque Karakansky pine forest. But few people know about the waterfall, since it is not visible either from the nearby road or from the banks of the pond where fishermen fish.
Waterfall on Rodikha
It is of natural origin. It is located on the territory of the Iskitimsky district, in the vicinity of the Medvedskoye village. It is formed by the waters of the Rodikha River, a tributary of the Shipunikha River, on which the Medvedsky waterfall is located. The height of the fall of the water stream is about 1.5-2 meters. It is not as spectacular as the neighboring Glass Waterfall, therefore it is not very popular among tourists.
Roshchinsky
It is located on the territory of the Iskitimsky district. Refers to waterfalls. The difference in height is about 2.5 meters. It is located in the area of the bridge over the Chernodyrikha river, along a busy road leading from the village of Roshchinsky. It is well known to the local population, but it is not very popular with tourists, and descriptions of the waterfall are not found in the literature.
Uspensky
Located on the territory of the Moshkovsky district. It is of artificial origin. It was formed in the last century on the site of a destroyed water mill created by a local merchant E.A.Zhernakov at the end of the 19th century. Another name for the waterfall is Melnichiy. The height of the fall of the water is more than 1 meter. Located on the river Poros, in the vicinity of the village of Uspenka. It is well known to its inhabitants, but has no wide popularity.
Sizevsky
The waterfall is of a cascade type. It got its name in honor of the small river Sizevka, on which it is located. The height of the fall of the water stream is a little more than 3 meters. It is located on the territory of the Iskitim district, in the vicinity of the village of Mosty. Known mainly only to local residents and shepherds. It has not yet been described in the literature, and is very rarely visited by tourists.
Kanabishka
Natural waterfall. Located on the territory of Toguchinsky district, in the vicinity of the village of Borovlyanka. It flows out of the picturesque lake of the same name and is located next to the dam. It is small in size. Previously, the lake was famous for excellent fishing, pike, tench, and crucian carp were well caught. A base was built nearby. Currently, the area is abandoned, there are almost no fish. Few people know about the waterfall.
