Voronezh, as one of the most ancient Russian cities, has a rich architectural heritage. Among the many objects of history and culture, there are also cult religious buildings. The earliest surviving objects date back to the 17th-19th centuries. They are of great historical value, reflecting the development of Russian art. Unfortunately, some of the churches in the 30s and during the Great Patriotic War were badly damaged, and some were completely lost.

In the 80-90s of the XX century, a new round in the development and spread of Christianity in our country took place. A lot of work has been done to restore old religious sites. Nowadays, following the expansion of the city, new temples are being built. They are not only spiritual centers for Voronezh residents, but also a real decoration of the city.
