Each village is famous for some kind of craft - so, Lefkara is famous for lace, and Omodos - for winemaking. There are also many monasteries and temples, the most famous of which is the Kykkos monastery, where the oldest miraculous icon of the Mother of God is kept, written during her lifetime by the Apostle Luke.
