We fell in love with Kobuleti at first sight! There are pine trees on the shore, clean pebble beaches and a huge selection of pretty hotels. What else do you need for a pleasant holiday by the sea? We share our impressions and reviews of tourists.

Resort experience

The second most popular seaside resort in Georgia is located 30 km north of Batumi. A pretty town without tall buildings and entertainment centers is popular with lovers of quiet beach relaxation. According to tourists' reviews, Kobuleti is good for a vacation with children. In our opinion, the Georgian resort is also suitable for those who love active tourism and independent excursions - from Kobuleti it is convenient to travel to national parks, beaches with magnetic sands and old fortresses.

There are mineral springs 2 km from the city, which are used to treat obesity, diabetes, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, nervous and circulatory systems. Mineral water from Kobuleti is actively used in all Adjarian health resorts.

Azat: "The city of Kobuleti is the best! There are a lot of different cafes and hotels. Everyone can speak Russian. The lemonade there is as delicious as duchesse in my childhood. Once on the street we met a family of Georgians. They realized that we were tourists, invited us to into the house and treated them to baklava. And what a beach - super! The water is clean, there is no garbage. "

July_27: "Most of all Georgian resorts I like Kobuleti. This is the middle where everyone will be quite comfortable. Plus it has a good location, just between Batumi and Ureki."

What sea and beaches

A quiet vacation at the sea is the main thing for which people go to Kobuleti. Spacious pebble beaches of the resort stretch for almost 10 km. Enough space for everyone! The sea water is cleaner than in Batumi. You can rent sun loungers, sunbathe on a towel, ride a banana boat or a jet ski.

If you miss the sand, go to the sandy beaches in the neighboring villages - Ureki or Shekvetili. A minibus ride costs 1 lari, and the journey will not take more than 15-20 minutes.

SWET LANKA 174: "The city itself is small, but stretched along the beach. The beaches are pebbles, so rubber slippers from 7-10 GEL will help you. The sea is fabulous - clean, warm. The entrance is not very gentle, but enough for children. Very beautiful sunsets - the sun is hiding here. "

Hotels in Kobuleti

The resort stretches along the coast for 7 km and has only three parallel streets. Wherever you rent a house, the beaches are just a stone's throw away! The choice of hotels and guest houses in Kobuleti is huge. There are especially many options along the street closest to the sea. Agmashenebeli, former Lenin. Walking along the long street, we were amazed at the number of hotels and guesthouses. Most of them are quite modern buildings with beautiful finishes and amenities.

The pine forest and beaches in the north of the city are ideal for camping. There is a convenient camping for autotourists.

It is believed that prices in this Georgian resort are higher than in Batumi, but still, rest in Kobuleti is cheap. In 2021, a double room in a guest house costs 500-600 rubles per day, and in a 3 * hotel with a swimming pool - 1700-2000 rubles. Spacious 55 sq. m for 5-6 people with a kitchen, swimming pool and spa can be rented for 4800 rubles. Look for hotels in Kobuleti on Hotelluk. There are all-inclusive tours in Kobuleti, but they are not very popular. In Georgia, it is cheaper and easier to eat in the city than in a hotel. If you want, the hosts of any guest house in Kobuleti will prepare meals for you for a fee.

Olga: "We took full board, we thought that it would not be very good, so we decided that breakfast, lunch would be at the hotel, and we would go to town for dinner. But we never left hungry, dissatisfied with something or with a desire somewhere else to dine! The food is beyond praise, one feels that a soul has been put into cooking, very tasty, fresh. In the evening we went to a restaurant to watch the program, sit, dance, drink wine. "

Food prices

Food in Georgia is cheap and tasty. Prices in Kobuleti and Batumi are practically the same. The average bill in a restaurant for two is 20-25 GEL. Adjarian khachapuri costs 7-12 lari, khinkali - 0.5-1 lari a piece. Draft wine in the market is sold at 5 GEL per 1 liter. We liked the cuisine and service in the Admiral restaurant and in the Shua Kalakshi khinkali house.

Anastasia: "The prices are democratic, lunch with drinks cost us around 25 lari, dinner - 35. The hospitality and cordiality of local residents impressed us so much that we still remember Kobuleti with warmth."

What to see and do

It's nice to walk along the long promenade and visit the local museum of local lore. We advise you to visit the picturesque reserve "Swamps of Spain", which is located in the north of the resort. From Kobuleti they carry on excursions to Batumi, the Kintrishi reserve, the Sataplia cave, the Okatse and Martvili canyons. One-day tours start at $ 30.

By minibus just 40 minutes to the entertainment of Batumi.

Ivan Vladimirov: "We went to the Tsitsinatela park. It was fun and interesting for us and the children. There are many different attractions, and they are not so expensive. The most expensive is 5 GEL. We have been to the Ispani reserve. Here you can admire nature and do there are many beautiful photographs as a keepsake. "

Vacation with children

We saw many parents with children on the streets of the resort and did not find a single review where tourists would criticize the rest with a child in Kobuleti. So come with your children to the resort without fear! We advise you to stay in a hotel or guest house with a swimming pool. This is convenient if there is a storm at sea.

The Seaside Park has rides and small pools with mosaic sculptures of sea animals. The Tsitsinatela amusement park, which means "firefly" in Georgian, is located 4 km north of the city. Next to it there is an interesting park "Georgia in Miniature". The entrance costs 4 GEL.

RolemLV: "We rested with a 5-year-old child. The water in late June and early July is warm, you enter calmly, the entrance is three meters and - depth. For children there are playgrounds, an amusement park near Kobuleti and in Kobuleti itself, near the bus station, there are fountains and stage".

When is the best time to go

Due to the subtropical climate and the Black Sea, the climate in Kobuleti is mild and comfortable. Snow rarely falls in winter, while fresh sea breezes soften the heat in summer. On the coast, the smell of pine trees mixes with the air from the sea. We were surprised at what aromas are here and how easy it is to breathe in Kobuleti! For a beach holiday, come from late May to late October.

Is it worth going

In our opinion, Kobuleti is almost an ideal place to relax by the sea. The beaches in the city are clean and wide. The resort has all the necessary infrastructure. In Kobuleti it is easy to find a market, grocery and department stores, pharmacies, restaurants and cafes. There is practically no nightlife. For entertainment you need to go to Batumi.

Keep in mind that the humidity in all Georgian resorts is high.If you have heart or respiratory problems, come on vacation to Kobuleti in June or during the velvet season.
