Prices for tours to Rhodes - 2021

Tours to Rhodes and other resorts of Greece are inexpensive in summer - in a 1-2 * hotel they cost at least 21,000 rubles for two for 5 nights without meals with a flight from Moscow.

At the end of June 2019, we flew from Moscow for 5 nights for 27,000 rubles for two. We chose a more expensive ticket, because the cheapest tour in fact has drawbacks: either the transfer from the airport is not included, or the hotel is off the beaten path or with bad reviews.

We bought the last minute tour online on Travelata 4 days before departure. Tour operator - "BiblioGlobus". We lived in Rhodes in the popular resort of Faliraki in the wonderful family hotel Artemis Studio 3 *. We liked Greece, Rhodes and the hotel very much - it was a great trip!

What to see in Rhodes

There are no world-class breathtaking sights in Rhodes. Basically - ruins, fortresses, temples, parks and beaches. We advise you to rent a car to see the island on your own. For example, we took a bike and in two days traveled the length and breadth of the entire island.

Observation Decks: on Mount Tsambika, Mount Filerimos (the "path to Golgotha" leads to it) and at the Monolithos castle. The backdrop of the sea view - many shades of blues and blues - makes for great photos.

Beautiful beaches: Anthony Quinn bay, Tsambika and Agati beach, kiss of two seas - Prasonisi.

For a family with children: Rodini Park, Valley of the Butterflies, Water Park in Faliraki and a walk through the nature reserves of Rhodes.

Antiquities: The Rhodes Fortress and the Old Town of Rhodes, as well as the ancient city of Lindos with the Acropolis.

Temples: the monastery of Tsambika, Mount Filerimos and the monastery of the Mother of God, the monastery of Moni Tari and the Suleiman mosque in the city of Rhodes.

Excursions. From Rhodes town, take a day trip to the neighboring island of Symi by ferry or book a guided tour.

When is the best time to relax in Rhodes

We rested in Rhodes in mid-June: the heat was scorching, but softened by the wind. In the morning and after sunset, the temperature dropped to about + 25 ° C, and it became comfortable.

The season in Rhodes lasts from about March to November, when the air temperature is between + 20 ° C and + 30 ° C. Tourists swim from May to October. The mildest months are April, May, September and October.

Judging by the reviews, most tourists prefer to go on vacation to the island of Rhodes during the high season. At this time, prices for accommodation, tours and flights are higher. Many people love the velvet season - at this time the heat subsides and prices go down. If you are interested in sightseeing in Rhodes, come during the low season.

Rhodes beaches

The length of the island's coastline is 251 km. Those who prefer more turbulent waves and wind choose the beaches of the Aegean Sea, and families with children - the Mediterranean.

Anthony Quinn Bay... We liked the beach. It is a pretty place among rocks and pine trees, 15 km from the capital of the island and not far from Faliraki. Come here only before 9 in the morning, before a crowd of tourists come! Admission is free, but sun loungers and umbrellas are not.

Cape Prasonissi. This place in the south, where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, is called the kiss of two seas: you will see how the waves differ in color - due to different density, temperature and salinity. Extremely popular with water sports enthusiasts!

Mandraki Harbor - it was here, according to legend, that the Colossus of Rhodes stood, one of the seven wonders of the world. Now you will only see a deer and a deer at the entrance to the harbor and, of course, ferries and yachts!

Agia Agati beach... Located near the village of Haraki. It will appeal to those who prefer a relaxing holiday with their family.

Tsambika... In addition to the beautiful beach, visit the Monastery of Our Lady of Tsambika, which is legendary for the miracles of helping childless women, and admire the view from the mountain.

Lindos consists of typical Greek white houses. There is an acropolis and a beach with clear azure water. You can get there by bus, car or boat from the city of Rhodes.

Rhodes Food Prices - 2021

While on holiday in Rhodes, you can eat relatively inexpensively. Even close to the beach, we found places with inexpensive food. Well, in general, the farther from the tourist spots, the lower the bill will be. Choose from taverns and cafes where Greeks dine and dine.

Breakfast from coffee and pastries costs up to 4 euros. We had breakfast at the hotel with what we bought in the supermarket - flan with tea and nougat. It turned out very cheap!

At lunch there are lunches for 14 euros, but this is rare. Lunch includes salad, main course and drink. Take one for two, because there is a lot of meat.

Have dinner in the restaurant you can for 30-40 euros. For example, in a restaurant at our hotel, we ate fish and seafood with potato salad, two glasses of white wine and ice cream for 31 euros for two.

In the heat, I really want to drink. In a cafe, an ice-cold beer of 0.5-0.6 liters costs from 3 to 4 euros, and water is brought to food for free. Local coffee - € 1.5-3.

How to save money? If you eat a little, like us, then Greek salad and one dish for two will be enough for you. The portions are very large, especially in non-touristy places. In addition, they bring free cakes and sometimes fruit! Calculate your strength, we almost always could not finish.

In small villages like Archangelos, eating and drinking coffee is much cheaper than in the popular Lindos or Faliraki.

Organize light breakfasts and dinners! We bought food from AB Food Market and Discount supermarkets in Faliraki. An impromptu dinner on the hotel balcony of wine, cheese, olives, jamon, fruits and berries cost 14 euros for two versus 30 in a restaurant.

Prices in supermarkets:
