We are talking about the best resorts of the Krasnodar Territory for recreation on the Black and Azov Seas in 2021. Find out where to relax! We will tell you about the pros and cons of the resorts and give the prices for housing.

Yeisk

Yeisk is the largest resort in the Krasnodar Territory on the Azov Sea. We liked it with an abundance of greenery, industrial landscapes of the port, long sandy beaches and panoramic views, the Yeisk spit and first-class sunsets, as well as the opportunity to watch the successful and not so good maneuvers of kitesurfers. In addition, it is good for families with children. In general, Yeisk is not a faceless and boring resort in our south, but quite a lively and interesting city, which has something other than a beach, shooting galleries and stalls with chebureks. Check out our review about Yeisk.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Sunny, warm and almost no rain.
  • ✔ Warm sea and nice sandy beaches.
  • ✔ Inexpensive vacation.
  • ✔ Dolphinarium, oceanarium and other children's entertainment.
  • ✔ Kitesurfing, windsurfing, yachting, parachuting.
  • ✔ Green parks for walking.
  • ✔ Healing mud.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Very shallow sea, but it's a plus for children.
  • ✘ Distance from airports.
  • ✘ The beach season is shorter than on the Black Sea: from early June to mid-September.
  • ✘ With the wind, the water in the Sea of Azov becomes cloudy due to silt and sand suspension.
  • ✘ In addition to active recreation at sea, there is little entertainment for young people.

Dolzhanskaya

Dolzhanskaya is a very small resort, but curious. The main buildings are located at a distance from the sea, and only rare guest houses get close to the shore. The land is semi-wild and steppe, and on the way to the sea you will only meet grasses, empty roads and sand.

The most interesting thing in Dolzhanskaya is a beautiful spit going into the sea, sunsets, black cormorants, giant jellyfish, silence and that very feeling of overseas beach relaxation, which is not found in our other resorts! It's good and calm on the spit, just right to include Bob Marley. It is interesting that I caught such a beach vibe only in the Dominican Republic, listening to a saxophonist, watching the sunset and drinking "Mojito". Take a look at our review about Dolzhanskaya.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Environmentally friendly place.
  • ✔ Inexpensive vacation.
  • ✔ Sandy and shell beaches.
  • ✔ Silence and solitude, because there are a minimum of people.
  • ✔ Excellent conditions for water sports.
  • ✔ Estuary with healing hydrogen sulphide mud.
  • ✔ Sea fishing.
  • ✔ You can relax in a tent - I've seen several.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Infrastructure is very poorly developed.
  • ✘ In summer, prices in stores are overpriced.
  • ✘ There are no attractions and entertainment other than sports
  • ✘ There are jellyfish in the water - I don't know if they sting, but I didn't dare to go into the sea.

Kuchugury

We went to the village on the Sea of Azov with the funny name Kuchugury several times. It used to be a remote place, but now the resort has grown. The beaches here are good and long - golden crumbly sand interspersed with beautiful shells. The sea is shallow everywhere, it warms up well, and the entrance to the water is shallow. In general, this is a good place for a budget and relaxing holiday, especially with children.

The main disadvantage is that the Sea of Azov sometimes looks cloudy because of the waves. But in August-September, with the onset of darkness, you can swim among the glowing plankton! It is beautiful and unusual, try it. Check out our review about Kuchugurs.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Shallow warm sea.
  • ✔ Golden sand.
  • ✔ Inexpensive vacation.
  • ✔ Mud volcano with healing mud.
  • ✔ Luminous plankton.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Infrastructure is not as developed as in major resorts.
  • ✘ Shallow water is inconvenient for adults.
  • ✘ There is no beautiful nature - there is only steppe around.
  • ✘ Water can be cloudy due to waves.

Anapa

Anapa is the city of childhood, the city of the sun. For children at the resort, expanse: shallow sea, sandy beaches, a lot of entertainment and temptations! If I were a child, my parents would have left a lot of money in Anapa ... So Anapa is one of the best resorts in the Krasnodar Territory for families with children.

However, tourists without children, most likely, will not like it in Anapa. Of course, there are the usual entertainments like clubs, bowling, cinemas and hookah bars. But there are no really bright, exciting places or entertainments like in Sochi or Krasnaya Polyana. Check out our review about Anapa.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ The shallow sea is safe for children and warms up quickly.
  • ✔ Comfortable sandy beaches.
  • ✔ Lots of fun for kids of all ages.
  • ✔ Developed infrastructure: hotels and guest houses, cafes and canteens, supermarkets, pharmacies, shopping centers, markets - there is everything.
  • ✔ Lots of excursions in the vicinity and distant resorts.
  • ✔ Dry climate, so heat is more easily tolerated.
  • ✔ Easy to reach by plane, train, car and bus.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Usually in July-August the sea blooms.
  • ✘ Shallow water, as in the Sea of Azov. To swim properly, you need to walk for a long time.
  • ✘ There are a lot of tourists.
  • ✘ There are a lot of children, which means a lot of screaming and noise.
  • ✘ There is especially nothing for an adult to do and nothing to see - there are no bright sights or interesting cultural activities in the resort.

Kabardinka

Kabardinka is a small village in the shadow of Gelendzhik. The resort is located in the beautiful Tsemesskaya bay. It is deep blue and framed with greenery, and the silhouettes of barges and ships can be seen on the horizon. Nice looking landscape!

I thought that Kabardinka was a collective farm and half-abandoned, like some small villages on the Black Sea, but no. The resort turned out to be clean and well maintained, with a long green promenade and an incredible amount of fun for the kids. A long pedestrian alley with lanterns, shops, souvenir stalls and cafes leads to the beaches. The beaches are all pebbly and the water is very clean. But there are large stones in the water.

If you cannot decide where to relax in the Krasnodar Territory, then, in principle, Kabardinka is a good choice. The resort is good for beach holidays, diving, hiking in the foothills and spa treatments. Check out our review about Kabardinka.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ The sea, even at the height of summer, is much cleaner than in Gelendzhik.
  • ✔ The resort has all the necessary infrastructure for a tourist.
  • ✔ There are fewer vacationers than in Gelendzhik, Anapa and Sochi.
  • ✔ The climate is dry and the heat is more easily tolerated.
  • ✔ Prices are lower than in major resorts.
  • ✔ You can have a good rest with children.

Minuses:

  • ✘ The beaches are pebbly, but that's nothing. Worse, there are stones in the sea.
  • ✘ You can only get from the airport or railway station by taxi or bus.
  • ✘ There are a lot of people in the resort in July and August, so the sea and the beach become muddy.
  • ✘ The beaches are crowded during the season.
  • ✘ There are not so many interesting sights in the village and its surroundings.

Gelendzhik

Gelendzhik is a versatile resort with a beautiful promenade, picturesque views and good beaches. The embankment frames the entire bay with a snow-white balustrade and, in combination with the blue sea, looks elegant. Almost the entire promenade is in the shade of relict pine trees, so there is no threat of sunstroke. I am glad that relaxing or classical music is playing from the speakers. In general, in Gelendzhik you really feel at a resort!

The resort is almost exemplary, but it has two big drawbacks. During the season, tourists are faced with interruptions in electricity and water, and the water in the bay becomes dirty. Read our review about Gelendzhik for details.

What is worth the trip for

  • ✔ Resort atmosphere.
  • ✔ Affordable prices - lower than in Sochi.
  • ✔ A drier climate than Sochi.
  • ✔ Comfortable and clean beaches, with pebbles and sand.
  • ✔ You can get there by plane, bus, train or car.
  • ✔ Enough interesting places and excursions.
  • ✔ Convenient to relax with children: no steep slopes, quiet bay, lots of entertainment.

Minuses:

  • ✘ There are a lot of tourists in summer.
  • ✘ In July and August, the sea is very dirty.
  • ✘ Pebble beaches (however, there is also loose sand).
  • ✘ In summer, there are power and water interruptions.
  • ✘ Noise and city bustle.

Dzhanhot

The tiny farm consists of only one long street, which runs along the river to the sea. This is a village for those who love silence and solitude. There are shady sidewalks and paths, clean sea water, fresh air and beautiful sunsets, as well as the most delicious churchkhela on the entire Black Sea coast. A pleasant place for a relaxing holiday by the sea!

But the main treasure of Dzhanhot is not at all in the resort, but above it. For pine aromas and breathtaking views of the deep blue sea, head to the Blue Abyss, home to relict Pitsunda pines. Delight and beautiful photos and beautiful photos are provided for you! Also not far from Dzhanhot, in Praskoveevka, there is an unusual outlier rock "Parus". Read our review about Janhot.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Silence and solitude.
  • ✔ Clean air and sea.
  • ✔ Picturesque rocky coastline.
  • ✔ Blue Abyss - Pitsunda Pine Sanctuary.
  • ✔ Wild beaches.

Minuses:

  • ✘Large pebble beach.
  • ✘Inconvenient to get there.
  • ✘ Poorly developed infrastructure.
  • ✘Little entertainment.

Arkhipo-Osipovka

Arkhipo-Osipovka is a typical resort in the Krasnodar Territory, where all life is concentrated on the embankment. All the attributes of a southern resort are available: a wide embankment, a sea of entertainment, cafes, stalls with beer, pasties and ice cream, a water park, a dolphinarium, and so on. Almost everything is intended for children, like in Anapa, and it was boring for us in the village.

Arkhipka did not impress us at all - it is crowded, noisy, there are no outstanding sights. The main beach is pebbly, only at the very edge of the water there is some sand. Read our review about Arkhipo-Osipovka to learn more about the resort.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Developed village with everything a tourist needs.
  • ✔ Low prices - you will rest cheaper than in Sochi or Gelendzhik.
  • ✔ Lots of entertainment for children, and adults have something to do: water park, museums, attractions.
  • ✔ Well-equipped beaches and a wide promenade.
  • ✔ Near Arkhipka there is a pine forest with campsites where you can live in a tent.

Minuses:

  • ✘ The sea and the beach are not as clean as in Kabardinka.
  • ✘ There are not many interesting places in the resort and in the surrounding area.
  • ✘ The beach is pebbly, but with an admixture of sand.
  • ✘ There are too many tourists in the summer.
  • ✘ You can only get there by taxi or bus.
  • ✘ First of all, it is still a resort for family tourists with children. The rest will be bored.

Dzhubga

Dzhubga is the quintessence of all the bad things in the Russian south. Being there is as uncomfortable as possible! Small, chaotic, chaotic village. Already sandwiched between the sea, mountains and the highway, he was even more squeezed in the grip of the merciless resort trade. Chebureks, beer, fish, crayfish, corn - all this burns in fiery letters on every patch. Plus crowds of tourists, loud advertisements and music, uncontrolled parking and poor architecture - I do not advise anyone to come there. Read our review about Dzhubga.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔Sand and pebble beach.
  • ✔ Water park.

Minuses:

  • ✘ No resort atmosphere. Rather, it is a bazaar from the 2000s.
  • ✘ Instead of an embankment, there is a tiled path, all lined with shooting galleries, cafes, canteens and souvenirs.
  • ✘ It is inconvenient to get there without your car.
  • ✘ On weekends, Krasnodar residents flood Dzhubga, and traffic jams form on the roads.
  • ✘ At the peak of the summer season, the sea is not clean.

Novomikhailovsky

Novomikhaylovsky is a classic resort village in the Krasnodar Territory. It is small, so there is little entertainment, and there are also few tourists. Thanks to this, the village is quite quiet, calm and even somehow ... intelligent, if this word is applicable to a southern resort.

The beaches are pebbly, with an admixture of sand, and the water is quite clean. The embankment runs along the entire coast. From the interesting - there is a yacht club, can you imagine! There you can take a subscription and spend the whole day in the territory. Read our review about Novomikhailovsky.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Clean pebble beaches and water.
  • ✔ There is an embankment.
  • ✔ Quite quiet village.
  • ✔ Lots of water activities: catamarans, yachts, sea fishing, etc.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Too crowded during the season.
  • ✘ Inconvenient to get there.
  • ✘ There is no own water park - you need to go to Lermontovo.

Beach strip between Lermontovo and Novomikhailovsky

Olginka

There is not much to tell about Olginka. This is a small village with poorly developed infrastructure, a fairly wide pebble beach and a promenade paved with tiles. Despite the modest size of the resort, it has its own water park "Leto", the "Orbita" oceanarium, a nightclub, several 3 * hotels and even one 4 *! Such a surprise. And on one of the banks of the river there are even new buildings. Read our review about Olginka.

What is worth the trip for

  • ✔ There is a water park and an aquarium.
  • ✔ Clean pebble beach and sea.
  • ✔ Convenient transfer from Tuapse.

Minuses:

  • ✘ In the summer, the resort is overwhelmed with vacationers.
  • ✘ Poorly developed infrastructure.
  • ✘ The village is unkempt and ugly.
  • ✘ There is nowhere to take a walk, except the embankment.
  • ✘ Very little entertainment.

Lazarevskoe

Lazarevskoe is one of those resorts where you can have a good rest in the Krasnodar Territory. Nice, neat, civilized resort, not a "scoop". In fact, it is like little Sochi, only cheaper: cafes and restaurants for every taste, entertainment, a recreation park, an abundance of hotels and guest houses.

It is also a very green, clean and tidy resort. The sun loungers-umbrellas on the beaches are modern, and the promenade is well-groomed. The only pity is that there is no beautiful architecture at all. But the main plus of Lazarevsky is the nature around. There are so many interesting sights nearby that you can spend 3-4 active days exploring the surroundings! Read our review about Lazarevskoye.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Decent pebble beaches.
  • ✔ The water is cleaner than in Central Sochi.
  • ✔ Lots of entertainment and excursions.
  • ✔ Beautiful nature around.
  • ✔ Well-equipped beaches, a decent embankment.
  • ✔ Rest is cheaper than in Central Sochi.
  • ✔ Easily accessible by train or car. You can get from Adler by train.

Minuses:

  • ✘ In summer, noisy and crowded.
  • ✘ The sea is not very clean.
  • ✘ Not everyone likes pebble beaches.
  • ✘ Obsessive service and beggars.
  • ✘ Few places to walk.
  • ✘ There is a railway right along the beach.

Loo

Loo is a mini-resort in the Krasnodar Territory, which can hardly be called a resort. The village is divided into two parts by a busy highway, with most of it located on a hill. That is, if you settled at the top, you will have to cross the road.

The entire first line is occupied by boathouses. These are two-storey buildings where windows and doors open directly to the sea. The boathouses seem to stretch indefinitely. It was interesting to walk along the "embankment" along them and observe the life of the guests. The atmosphere of communal apartments reigns here: drying linen, frolicking children, old people with dominoes and newspapers, joint neighbour's tea-drinking. Everything is very nice, but I would not go to Loo. Read our review of Loo and see a selection of affordable housing.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Inexpensive vacation.
  • ✔ Water park.
  • ✔ Convenient to get there.
  • ✔ It is convenient to go on excursions around Greater Sochi.

Minuses:

  • ✘ A busy highway runs between the village and the sea.
  • ✘ Hilly area.
  • ✘ Some parts of the beach have large boulders.
  • ✘ There are a lot of people in the summer.
  • ✘ Poorly developed infrastructure.
  • ✘ Boring, no entertainment.
  • ✘ The village is small and ugly.
  • ✘ Some are disturbed by the hum of trains.
  • ✘ There is a stinking river.

Dagomys

A fairly developed and quiet village just 10-30 minutes drive from the center of Sochi, and this is its main advantage. Moreover, you can relax quite inexpensively! The village itself is unremarkable - continuous guest houses and hotels. It is interesting to see only the sanatorium "Dagomys" and slipways by the water, which are called the Venice of Dagomys. Read our review about Dagomys.

What is worth going for:

  • ✔ Very close to the center of Sochi.
  • ✔ Developed infrastructure.
  • ✔ Equipped beaches.
  • ✔ Inexpensive vacation.

Minuses:

  • ✘ Buildings.

Sochi is a green and blooming city, and all year round, so the first impression is very pleasant. Palm trees, flowers and shrubs compensate for the chaotic ugly buildings and are pleasing to the eye. We have never seen such a green city in Russia!

Sochi is the main resort of the Krasnodar Territory. There are many flowers, warmth and sun, a blue-blue sea, sweet Turkish delight, salted pebbles, a beautiful port, snow-white yachts in the marina, many fashionable cafes and coffee houses, modern hotels, comfortable beaches and stunningly beautiful nature around.
