Of all the places on the Black Sea coast, Bolshoi Utrish is the most reserved. However, not everyone likes this micro-resort. We personally went there to conduct an independent examination and honestly tell you about the village and the conditions for recreation in it. Learn about the pros and cons of Big Utrish!

What the resort looks like

I have visited Bolshoy Utrish twice. The first time we arrived at the height of the season, and I saw the resort only from the car window. We arrived, circled the streets in search of free places at least in a paid parking lot, found nothing and left.

The second trip was more fortunate. We arrived at the end of September, parked in a paid parking lot for 100 ₽ per hour and went to explore the tiny village, which is considered one of the cleanest and quietest in the area - a reserved place, after all!

Bolshoi Utrish turned out to be a quiet and intimate village with picturesque views, a dolphinarium on the high seas, a lighthouse, juniper thickets, a relaxed beach atmosphere and clear water. I am not a connoisseur of beach holidays, but even I wanted to settle here for a while and swim.

The nearest neighbor of the resort is Sukko. Compared to him, Bolshoi Utrish is more familiar and simple. It seems that only locals come here to rest for 1-2 days. The resort has no discos, nightclubs, shopping arcades and typical tourist attractions such as the ubiquitous upside-down houses. There are no audio ads and nothing stands in the way of relaxing.

The resort is just developing and improving. The embankment has already been built and the Utrish beach on the other side of the spit has been equipped, but there are still many remnants of shabby Soviet buildings or rusty fittings sticking out of the water. Until now, the port has no pharmacies, banks and ATMs - for this you need to go to Sukko.

Latailes: "The place is not for permanent rest, but just for a one-day trip. You will not see glamor and luxury. This is a very simple, in some places" gray "place. But here there is gorgeous air, the purest sea."

soundspeed F: "A beautiful place, but during the season due to the huge influx of tourists it is absolutely uncomfortable. You can't find a place to park your car. Even in paid parking lots."

Is it expensive to rest in 2021

Housing there are not many in Bolshoy Utrish, and prices increase during the season. In 2021, double rooms in guest houses and at the recreation center "Sea Bay" cost 2200-2500 rubles per night. Rooms at the Fort Utrish hotel cost at least 6000 rubles per day. According to the reviews of vacationers, the guest house "Solnechny Utrish" is good, there rooms cost from 3900 rubles. The private sector is a little cheaper - a double room with its own bathroom and toilet costs 1400-2000 rubles. Look for accommodation in Bolshoy Utrish on Booking.

Entertainment... 10 minutes by jet ski costs 1500 rubles, "banana" and "pill" - 500 rubles, catamaran - 1000 rubles per hour, boat trip - 350 rubles per hour per person.

The cost of tickets to the dolphinarium shocked us - 1000 ₽! And the evening show is 1300 ₽ at all. After the show, you can swim with dolphins: 1 circle - 2000 ₽, 3 circles - 4000 ₽. Photos and videos cost another 100 rubles.

Rent on the beach... A sunbed for a day costs RUB 300, and an umbrella with a sunbed costs RUB 800.

Food. There are few cafes, restaurants and canteens in the resort, but you can taste seafood and fish in them. The most expensive and prestigious restaurant overlooking the sea is "Fort Utrish" with an average bill of 2000 ₽. In the very center there is a not so expensive cafe "Laguna", where the average bill is from 300 rubles.

Still not far from the dolphinarium there is a dining room "Home Kitchen", but the atmosphere there is so-so.

Fresh oysters and mussels can be enjoyed at the Zmeinka Yacht Club cafe on Lake Zmeinoe. When entering the village, turn right, following the sign "Oysters". Coordinates of the oyster farm: 44.76477, 37.387396.

The nearest supermarkets are only in Sukko and Anapa. Everyone goes there, because the products in the only store are expensive.

Alexander M67: "In shops, the prices are scrap. For example, 1.5 liters of local beer - 180 rubles, canned food - 120 rubles, dumplings - 270 rubles. We went to Anapa to buy groceries at" Magnit ". On the beach, everything is also expensive - a cheburek costs 80 rubles, 0.5 liters of beer - 100 rubles, boiled corn - 100 rubles on the cob. "

Beaches and the sea in Bolshoy Utrish

The beaches, unlike Anapa, are pebbly. There are only three of them: two beaches are located on the sides of the spit, and one is near the lighthouse. The water is amazingly clean everywhere, you can see every pebble. We even saw dolphins from the shore!

The beach to the right of the spit is called Central... It is neat and tidy. Almost everywhere, the entrance to the sea is normal, but in some places there are large slippery stones, so take aqua shoes. The infrastructure is minimal: umbrellas, sun beds, inflatable slides, catamarans, changing rooms, stalls, a sea bath and an expensive restaurant "Fort Utrish". From this beach you can go up to the observation deck.

Utrish beach to the left of the spit is more modern and comfortable, with a small embankment, awnings, umbrellas, sun loungers, a changing room, wooden flooring and a toilet for 20 ₽. The central part was cleared of stones, and entering the water there is convenient and safe. Where the sheds end, there are many large slippery stones, so enter the water only in rubber slippers, otherwise you will injure your feet.

Wild beach at the lighthouse popular with spear hunters and freedivers. On wild beaches in the direction of Sukko and Maly Utrish, they rest with tents.

According to vacationers, the beaches in Bolshoy Utrish are narrow, so they are overcrowded in summer. When the sea begins to bloom in Anapa, Dzhemete and Vityazevo, the number of people at the resort and beaches increases dramatically.

Another disadvantage is the slippery stones found in the water and the sharp depth, so it is uncomfortable to rest with children.

Petlana: “But the worst is the situation with the entrance to the sea. The stones under the water were overgrown with dense vegetation, they are huge and terribly slippery. one of those boulders. "

Miss Urusova: "The coastal strip is rather narrow, so vacationers lie almost with their feet in the water. We came with children - there are so many people that there is nowhere to even get up. A very abrupt entry into the water, the stones are sharp, slippery. Without special footwear, nothing, especially to kid".

How not to catch an infection at sea

Intestinal infections are a really big problem in southern resorts. Rotavirus and norovirus are more often picked up by children and are seriously ill, but adults also suffer from them. Be sure to collect a first-aid kit for rest and do not forget the compulsory medical insurance policy. Young children need to be vaccinated against rotavirus.

In order not to catch an intestinal infection in the Black Sea (and indeed in any sea, even abroad), you need to follow the basic rules of hygiene:

  • Do not swallow seawater.
  • Wash fruits, vegetables, and hands thoroughly before eating. Wash with running water or bottled water, not in the sea!
  • Drink bottled or boiled water.
  • Do not buy food from street vendors.
  • Do not take perishable food to the beach.
  • If you cook yourself, be hygienic and boil and fry food well.
  • Make sure your child does not put stones, sand, dirt, or dirty hands in his mouth.

Excursions and entertainment

At first glance, the resort is such a quiet and measured life that there is absolutely nothing to do. In fact, here you can spend a couple of days in an interesting and pleasant way without getting bored.

The main attraction is the open-air dolphinarium. A ticket for adults and children over 5 years old costs 1000 ₽ during the day and 1300 ₽ for the evening show.

With your children, go to the educational Center for the Study of the Black Sea - look at the fish, look through the microscope and listen to marine biologists.

According to reviews, boat trips are popular among vacationers in Bolshoy Utrish. The boats are moored at the pier of the "Fort Utrish" restaurant. Walking costs start from about 350 ₽ per hour per person, fishing - from 700 ₽ per hour. You can also rent a boat at the main pier next to the dolphinarium.

If you dreamed of trying diving, then in Bolshoy Utrish there is a diving club where you can even take exams. True, it will be interesting only for beginners.

Go hiking - there are hiking trails on the right and left along the coast, and the views are wonderful. In the direction of Sukko there is a Lermontov pavilion.

Popular excursions to the African show and the knight's show in Sukko (this advertisement hangs everywhere!), Trips to the mud volcanoes of the Taman Peninsula and the ethno-center "Circassian aul".

If you are by car, go on your own to Cypress Lake in Sukko, take a walk by Lake Abrau and look into a champagne factory, get to know Anapa. All this can also be viewed with a guided tour - choose them on the Tripster:
