Beaches
Good beaches and clean calm sea - for this they go to the island. Almost all beaches have a gentle entrance to the sea, and waves are rare, so it is convenient to relax with children.
Sand is cleaned in tourist areas. The cleanest and most equipped beach - Long Beach... There are many hotels, cafes and restaurants. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented.
There are beaches semi-civilized like Bai Sao: the right half is wild, the left is for tourists.
There are also secluded and deserted beaches on the island. However, there is no infrastructure, and the sand is not cleaned, so there is garbage brought by the sea. Tourists come to these beaches by bike or taxi.
Relatively clean
There is enough construction and household waste. However, we got the impression that Fukuoka is cleaner compared to other cities and resorts in Vietnam. The slop is not poured directly under your feet, as in Hue and Hoi An... Only 3 rats were seen, and 1 cockroaches. This is very good for Vietnam!
Virgin nature
Let’s say, it’s far from virgin, but the travel agents need to lure gullible tourists with something! There is indeed a reserve here, where people rarely wander. Based on reviews on TripAdvisor, almost no one really appreciated the jungle.
The island still has wild beaches, but enterprising Vietnamese are trying to build up all resorts. We have not been to any truly deserted beach - there were always people nearby.
There are many marine life in Fukuoka: fish, starfish, crabs, molluscs, corals, squids, shrimps. Diving and snorkelling is possible in many places. Most vacationers take tours to the archipelago An Thoiwhere there are coral reefs and colorful tropical fish.
Inhabitants
The locals are friendly and smiling. They like to be photographed, especially children. If they know English, they can speak. It is noteworthy that there are no beggars and homeless people on the island.
We noticed that the islanders love animals, especially dogs. No strangers were seen. Interesting red hunting dogs, which are specially bred. They are distinguished by a special strip of wool on the back.
Development
It can be seen that the resort is proud of the status of the best in Vietnam and strives to match it in every possible way. New resorts are actively growing, so if you still want to catch wild beaches, be in time.
Fukuoka's main roads are mostly four-lane and well-paved. It is a pleasure to ride a bike at night on deserted roads.
They are laid even in remote points of the island - so far only gravel ones. The traffic is minimal, there are no traffic jams.
Safety
In Fukuoka, even in the wildest wilderness, you feel safe. Even when you return from the wilds of the island in complete darkness or drive along an unknown road that is not marked on the map, you feel safe.
Hidden gems
We have already complained that there is not much to see in Fukuoka, but on the island there are amazing things among the boring attractions. We were especially impressed by the beach with starfish Rush Wem - these strange creatures live in the purest water, and you can swim above them.
Another find is a floating village near Rush Vem Beach. It is interesting to look at the interiors of the shacks. The locals live a simple and measured life, and they earn money by fishing for seafood. There are seafood restaurants where mostly Vietnamese come.
