But the same sights of Belarus are often underestimated. It's time to get to know them better. In addition, we have selected really interesting places to visit in summer and winter.

Brest Fortress

A conversation about the main attractions in Belarus cannot ignore this landmark point. It is too important for any normal people to avoid visiting at the slightest opportunity. The fortifications, now converted into a memorial, are located on 4 islands. The central citadel was once connected to other islands by a series of bridges. It should be noted that the fortress is significant not only for its “participation” in military events. It is also a monument to the fortification of the 1830s. From 1842 to 1914, it was modernized and strengthened several times.

Money museum

This object has another name - Groshi. When creating the complex, the goal was to show the past of monetary circulation in the country. Here are collected coins issued in the ancient Roman period; they are adjacent to banknotes of the period of the first Polish domination, the times of the Pilsudski and fascist occupation, and modern commemorative coins.

It is not inferior, albeit in a special way, to the parks of Peterhof or old European capitals. The museum has existed for about 100 years. The palace itself was built according to the instructions of P.A. Rumyantsev at the end of the 18th century. A number of prominent architects have been involved in the work. Impeccable classicism is still preserved in the furnishings of the building. Major reconstruction took place from 1837 to 1851. In addition to architectural highlights, the palace stands out for its chic collection of old heritage and cultural treasures. In addition to the main building, the ensemble includes a number of other buildings and natural attractions.

Useful materials on Minsk:

Belovezhskaya Pushcha

When the conversation comes about the beautiful places of Belarus, this forest area comes up by itself. The total area of land reaches 150 thousand hectares. On this land, 1024 species of plants grow and up to 12 thousand species of animals live. A larger area of relict nature on the Belarusian land cannot be found. Here, for greater convenience, 4 zones with different modes have been allocated. Additionally, they are surrounded by the territory of the buffer nature protection.

National Park "Braslav Lakes"

What you can see in Belarus from nature, without touching the somewhat stereotypical Belovezhie. The area of the lakes is much more than 130 sq. Km. Between them there is a mass of small channels and just streams. The territory of the park is over 70 thousand hectares. Of the 189 species of birds living here, 45 are rare and even endangered representatives of the fauna. The personnel of the national park, along with direct protection, are engaged in scientific research.

Prilepsky reserve

One of the most beautiful places in the state. A visit to the reserve is recommended in winter. In summer, spring and autumn it is less pleasant here, and the area is often crowded with tourist crowds preparing barbecue. The complex was created in 2000. But tourists need to hurry, because the reserve is under threat. A number of local inhabitants are listed in the national red book. The forest is replaced by green hills with picturesque views, and then a holiday village.

Waterfall on the Vyata river

And he definitely falls into the number of unusual places on the territory of the republic. Look for cascades near the village of Prudniki. Nature has nothing to do with their appearance: these are the remnants of the former hydroelectric power station. But the combination of the stream with the surrounding landscape is so delightful that the trip here is 100% worth. The administration has carefully arranged the territory and provided for the optimal infrastructure.
