For many centuries, she defended the city, despite the numerous destruction. Built on a hill, surrounded on three sides by rocks and a powerful stone wall, the fortress has survived well to this day and has become the hallmark of the capital. The most beautiful views open from its observation deck and from the cable car that leads to the top. Next to the citadel there is a 20-meter monument "Mother Georgia". “To better see all the beauty of this place, we advise you to rent binoculars for 2 minutes for 1 Georgian lari”.

Georgian National Museum (Tbilisi)

This is not one stand-alone building, but a whole association of several museums located throughout the country. Old Tbilisi

It is impossible to visit Tbilisi and not walk through its old city with winding streets, famous small courtyards, houses with intricate facades and old front doors. Among them there are many mansions and palaces built in the Georgian style. Many of them have already been converted into restaurants, souvenir shops or hotels. But in the other part of the old city there are old and dilapidated houses. Beautiful photos of Georgia from this area are provided to you.

Georgian Betania (Tbilisi)

In any guidebook or map, the temples of Georgia are widely represented with photos and names, because these are its most interesting places. The Betania Monastery, operating since the 11th century, has become one of the best examples of temple architecture in Georgia. For centuries, it has not only been a hotbed of religion and a place for prayer, but also a protection. This is probably why, in its appearance, church forms are mixed with elements of fortification.
