The height of the Siberian vacation season begins and many tourists already in reviews are asking about the prices for holidays on Lake Baikal in the summer of 2021. In this article, I decided to show you what prices are waiting for you in stores, the cost of booking hotels on Lake Baikal, how much an air ticket costs, which recreation centers with meals better to choose. Consider food costs as well as lake tours.

The material will be especially useful for tourists from distant parts of the country who do not know how much money to take with them and where it is better to stay on the lake.

Accommodation prices at recreation centers

You can book a hotel or private options on Lake Baikal very cheaply using the RoomGuru service, I have always used it and always won, so I advise you to book from the selection.

Hotel booking prices vary greatly depending on the season; there are three seasons on Lake Baikal:

  • high (July - August)
  • medium (June - July)
  • low (end of May - June)

So if you want to save money, then you will be able to have a cheap vacation on Lake Baikal in June or July, or in September, by the way, September on Lake Baikal is a velvet season and the prices here are no longer so high, but it is so beautiful here!

As for the prices for summer vacations on Lake Baikal, a hotel on Olkhon Island will cost you from 1,600 rubles for a comfortable room and up to 4,500 rubles in the BaikalView hotel. If you do not know which recreation centers with meals to choose on Olkhon for recreation, then read the article about the recommended hotels on the island for booking.

Water transport on the lake

The cost of travel by water transport is not small by local standards, but for tourists who have come from far away and have never seen all the beauties of Lake Baikal, this type of transport will come in handy, while driving to the desired place, you can not only see the beauty of the lake, but also have time to take pictures of wild places, where to go by the usual way or by car.

If you want to get to Peschanaya Bay this summer from the 'Raketa' pier in md. Sunny, then the trip will cost you 2,600 rubles per person one way, it will be cheaper to buy a round trip ticket, this is how the discount works. To get to the village of Bolshiye Koty the cost will be 740 rubles.

I also recommend going to the Listvyanka village on Lake Baikal to eat delicious omul on a motor ship, the cost of 400 rubles, of course, by minibus (150 rubles) will be cheaper, but you will not see such beauties on the way. Absolutely all routes and schedules, as well as buy an electronic ticket for all directions on Lake Baikal and find out prices, you can on the official website of the East Siberian Shipping Company VSRP.RU

Minibuses and buses

The cost of minibuses and buses to Lake Baikal is much cheaper, but even more boring types of forests will set you up for sleep while you get to the place. So, a minibus to Arshan (of course not exactly Baikal, but I also recommend going to the mountains) will cost 450r, you can order a minibus near the bus station, the bus costs 350r.

The fare to Baikalsk by minibus will be 250 rubles, on the same minibus you can get off near the village of Utulik and get to beautiful places for those who like to relax as a savage.

As for the prices for holidays on Lake Baikal in the area of MRS and Olkhon. You can get to Khuzhir from the shopping complex by minibus, having previously booked a place, the fare to Khuzhir is 850 rubles per person. If you decide to go by your own car, then fill up the full tanks in Irkutsk and go to Khuzhir, the ferry crossing is free.

Food and products on Baikal

I'll start from the side of Listvyanka, you can eat here anywhere, people of Caucasian nationality have bought almost all the places on the coast and in the adjacent territories, the prices in the cafe are about the following:

  • pilaf 120 rub
  • shish kebab 180 rub
  • lavash 40r (by the way, lavash is very tasty there)
  • tea 30 rubles (for a bag and hot water)
  • salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, green onions, spices and oil) 150 rub

I want to clarify the prices for food in a cafe, all prices differ by about 10-20 rubles, so I gave the average prices. As for the prices for omul in the village on the market, they are as follows:

  • Hot smoked omul from 100 rubles per tail (fish 25 centimeters) to 150 rubles (40 centimeters in length)
  • Cold smoked omul from 120 rubles for the same size and up to 180 rubles
  • Dry-dried omul from 120 rubles and up to 150 rubles

A small recommendation on the choice of omul in the Listvyanka market, near the entrance to the market are the highest prices, the further, the cheaper, do not forget to bargain. And if you go beyond the market on the way to the private sector, then the local population will sell you fish even cheaper, fish is prepared here right next to the houses where fishermen live.

Moving on to Olkhon Island, the prices in the cafe are as follows:

  • borscht 120r
  • buhler 150r
  • Sagudai 120r per 100 grams, small, but tasty
  • bread 5 rubles per slice
  • fruit drink 25r
  • tea 20r
  • buuza 45 rubles for 1 piece

There are not so many cafes on Olkhon Island, there are eateries with an unpleasant smell, and there are normal places, but I always eat in a cafe near Shamanka Rock (I forgot its name), as you go beyond the fence from the rock, the cafe will be 50 meters in front of you. Prices in shops on Olkhon Island are the same as in Irkutsk, I did not see especially high prices, and it is unlikely that prices will be cosmic for the local population.

Flights

Of course, you won't be able to reach the lake by plane, but the closest point to Lake Baikal will be the city of Irkutsk, and you will need to book cheap flights to it through the Aviasales service, as for the prices for an air flight to Irkutsk, they are as follows:

As soon as you arrive in Irkutsk, you will need to somehow get to Lake Baikal, in this regard I have a separate article about the ways to travel to Baikal, where everything is written down in steps, we read and shake our heads.

The cost of excursions

Excursions on Lake Baikal are an integral part of the rest, without them nowhere. Most of the excursions are carried out by water transport by the same VSRP, on their website you can find prices, one of which I recently used ‘Excursion with a photo of the Circum-Baikal Railway on a motor ship’. As for some prices for excursions around Lake Baikal:

  • Small boat excursion from Listvyanka village by motor ship 500 rubles per person
  • Talci Museum, entrance cost from 50 - 350 rubles, it all depends on the event (www.talci.ru)
  • Water excursions on Olkhon Island from 800 - 1800 rubles from the remoteness of Olkhon attractions
  • Excursion around the Circum-Baikal Railway on a motor ship 2200 rubles per adult
  • Cruise 'Magnificence of Baikal', a full course of the entire lake in 6 days, cost 64,000 rubles, order by phone 672-292
